Editorial Policy
This page describes how our team writes and maintains everything published on Chat GTT: the homepage, the two template pages, the guides about the meme, pricing, help text and the company and legal pages. Our aim is for every page to stand on its own, to show where its information comes from, and to be easy to fix whenever the templates or an outside model provider change.
Testing claims against the live maker
Before we describe a feature, we compare the description with the maker as it really behaves: which options it offers, what kind of file it hands back and how many credits it asks for before a render begins. If something is decided by an outside AI provider rather than by our own code, we say so on the page. Because generated video differs between renders, nothing we write should be read as a guaranteed result, and we do not show sample clips as proof of quality.
Researching the meme and the trend
Our guides on the original video and the trend rely on the publicly posted clips and on how people talk about them. We report only what we could confirm, describe uncertain details in general terms, and never claim that we started the meme. Facts about an AI provider's features or availability come from that provider's own documentation where it exists, and we cite it when a sentence depends on it. Pages are reread and brought up to date when the trend or the product moves on.
Numbers, comparisons and measurements
We only present a claim about price, speed, quality or one tool beating another as a measured fact if we can show how it was measured: the tool and version where known, the photo used, the settings, the number of runs, the date and the setup. Without that evidence the wording stays descriptive and steers clear of anything a reader could take as a promise.
Dates and revisions
The updated date on a page changes only when its content changes in substance; fixing a typo or adjusting layout leaves it alone. Pages that deal with money or rights, which means pricing, refunds, terms and privacy, get a fresh review whenever a plan, a provider, a workflow or a legal requirement changes.
Fixing mistakes
Think something is wrong? Email support@chatgtt.video with the page address, the sentence in question and any source supporting your view. We look at every report, correct the errors we confirm, and move the updated date when a correction changes what the page means.
How AI tools fit into our writing
We sometimes use AI tools to sketch an outline, condense documentation or smooth out phrasing. A team member then checks the final text against the live product and the sources it cites before it is published, and AI-produced wording is never treated as evidence on its own. The clips the site generates are AI-made too, and we encourage everyone who posts one to label it as AI-generated.
Who decides
Final editorial decisions rest with the Chat GTT team. Commercial interests never come before our duty to state limitations, our reliance on outside providers, claims we could not verify, and our independence: the site is fan-made and is not affiliated with OpenAI or ChatGPT, TikTok, CapCut or the creator of the original meme video. You can read more about the project on our About page.
